04/07/17 written by Karen April is one of my favorite months because it happens to be my birthday month, but it is also a month of obvious seasonal transitions. The signs of spring grow more and more evident on a daily basis: the hyacinths, daffodils, tulips, and other bulbs pop out of the ground adding color to the landscape. Buds suddenly appear and small leaves unfurl as dormant plants awaken in the spring sun. What was seemingly dead takes on new life! And so it is with the seasonal background of spring that we traditionally celebrate Easter in April. As Christian believers, our faith centers on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. How amazing it is to witness the resurrection of seemingly dead plants and the renewal of the landscape as we celebrate the victory over death and sin!
